      This is really good for those who are raising conservation herds of bison and as you said in the article ; we humans are the cause of this debate and now we need to clean up our act and not keep compounding the problem. White or cream colored bison that have no cattle introgression are better bison than brown bison with cattle alleles.

          White or cream colored bison that have no cattle introgression are better bison than brown bison with cattle alleles.
          There is an argument for that except that there is a test for the Charolais silver gene which would count as a cattle allele.
